When it comes to a central heating system for the home, the options any homeowner has are the following:
- Central on wood or on pallets;
- Power plant;
- Gas power plant;
- Power plant that works with other fuel.
The most popular power plant variants are the gas ones, for obvious reasons. Firstly, natural gas is present in almost every home and secondly, it is acceptable from the point of view of costs.
Besides this aspect, the maintenance of a gas plant is very low, especially if a good quality product is chosen from the beginning.
To choose a good quality product, however, you need a series of steps and rules to follow.
Choosing a gas power plant, step by step
A first step you must take to choose the perfect boiler is to inform yourself. You will discover that there are several variants of power plants that operate on gas, divided into two large categories: conventional and condensing ones. Conventional ones are a bit cheaper and give a pretty good yield, which makes them very popular.
Conventionalized gas thermal power plants were forbidden to be produced anymore, considering the much lower efficiency compared to the one in condensing and from an ecological point of view.
Condensing power plants are the most efficient ones, because they ensure an energy efficiency much higher than conventional ones, and also offer a quick amortization of the investment.
They can recover energy through condensation and use up to 35% less fuel than a conventional one.
So, it can be said that, in the long term, they are much more efficient and economical.
